DO ALL YOU CAN TO SAVE YJ/GLTAS!!!! PLEASE READ!

Please read, there is a point to this.

Okay over 5 years ago, my favorite show—Danny Phantom— was announced to not be renewed like Young Justice. I was heavily alarmed and saddened. I was 14 at the time, and I kept hearing from the fandom to send letters to Nickelodeon to help save the show. Now, I was a very avid fan, complaining all the time about Nickelodeon’s evilness to everyone online and acted like it was really important to me for it to be renewed…

…HOWEVER,

I NEVER SENT A LETTER. Not once. I talked about it. I encouraged others to do it, I complained, made the fanart, signed the petition but never sent a letter—believing that one more letter would have no effect and that the other fans would take care of it for me.

Guess what?

Danny Phantom was not renewed—ever. Again, I whined about it all over the internet but never did anything to help, and I’m sure there were others like me, who also felt impotent and decided to just let things be. Some may have put the letter writing for later— too preoccupied with other shows to ever get to it. Well, maybe, just maybe, if we had all sent a letter something could have happened. And I regret not being an active fan as I proclaimed to be.

When Young Justice was announced to not be renewed, I instantly thought of Danny Phantom. This time, however, I decided I would not be an idle fan but would actively do my best to help the show out. This is the reason I made the Razaya Hope Flower, the video flower tutorial, the Reach Bottle labels, and that call for letters. I even made a bunch of drawings with reasons not to cancel YJ and GL:TAS on the back to send to CN along with the letters, bottles and flowers. And as I stated on a previous post, I was able to send 2 Razaya flowers, 4 reach cans, 8 fan letters, 6 drawings, and about 50 little fake blue flowers for about $3.70 in a little box. Not only that but I’ve tried to buy the episodes and merch so that CN knows we care and we are a profitable group. I post on CN’s facebook page every day and have also called the company. Heck, I even made that little eggplant video even though I’m terrified of cameras and probably sound really stupid. I decided to do something about this and I acted on that decision

YOU CAN DO THE SAME.

don’t wait for someone else to send flowers/ labels/ masks

don’t wait on someone else to call or to leave a message

don’t leave it all for tomorrow.

If its only a small group of fans doing all the work while everyone else just PRETENDS to care then we are never going to get anywhere, WE HAVE TO WORK TOGETHER.

Don’t be like me when Danny Phantom was canceled. Don’t think that you don’t have a say, you do. What matters is whether you decide to use it.

Guys its barely been 3 weeks so please keep strong. Many of you already seem defeated, and isn’t that what CN wants? They knew that we were going to retaliate when they made that announcement, they knew it. I’m sure they think that all they have to do is ignore us long enough that we quiet down and stop trying. LETS PROVE THEM WRONG.
